Introducing the new CMS Clothing Line!

Only a few weeks after the release of patch 1.6, Call of Duty 4 1.7 patch has been released. This patch is much smaller than 1.6 but doesn’t contain any new maps, only fixing a few technical exploits. Make sure you have patch 1.6 installed before you download 1.7!

Here is exactly what the patch changes; it corrects an problem that allowed players to mess with certain console cvars on multiplayer server matches, effectively allowing them to enable single-player cheats in multiplayer. It also fixes a crash that happens when a Sabotage matches on Chinatown are tied and go into over time. Finally it corrects a language error where game icons would show up in English even if the original copy of the game was in a different language. No huge changes but nevertheless it is an important update.

Details as follows:

The Map Pack includes four new multiplayer maps as well as the 1.6 patch which adds additional support for the new maps, fix for a server crash exploit recently reported by the community, and a few additional features and bug fixes.

The Variety Map Pack includes four new multiplayer maps:

“Creek” is a wide-open village ravaged by combat where concealment is the difference between life and death.

In “Broadcast,” fight throughout an enemy communications building with confined corridors and wide-open parking lots.

“Chinatown” is a foggy downtown district, lit only by a full moon and the neon glow of the city (which is also a remake of the much loved mp_carentan!).

“Killhouse” features a desolate training warehouse filled with a variety of building mock-ups and soft and hard cover points (doesn’t look too great but w/e).

This is the release of the v1.5 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare patch by Infinity Ward.

CHANGES:

• Fixed server browser not showing all of the servers
• The "hold [ ] to steady" sniper scope hint will only appear if you can use it
• Fixed game not recognizing IWDs existing if they are all in fs_basepath and none are in the main/ folder
• Made mod scripts able to change stats
• Allow developer_script for mulitiplayer modding
• Fixed map rotation errors with usermaps
• Fix for reloading several times after connecting to a modded server
• Fixed minimap not showing up in the menu for usermaps
• Fixed an issue with Http redirect downloads.
• Mod tools will now work with other languages

NOTE: patch 1.5 is not compatible with 1.4. You will not be able to find 1.4 servers if you update.

NOTE: Please ensure you have previously downloaded 1.4 patch before downloading 1.5 as you will need the 'Winter Crash' map from 1.4.
